Madison Davey selected to compete in Ontario Winter Games
Congratulations to Madison Davey of the Saugeen Maitland Lightning Bantam AA team for being selected to participate in the Ontario Winter Games being held in Muskoka from February 27 to March 2, 2014.

Following a tryout and selection process held in the late summer/early fall across the province, the OWHA selected up to 160 players born in 1999 and 2000 to form eight teams, coached by accomplished female hockey players.  Madison received notification just before Christmas that she was selected to participate, and has accepted this challenge.  She is absolutely thrilled and excited about the opportunity to play in this event.  She will be heading to Huntsville on February 25th, to take part in a pre-event camp, with competition beginning on February 27th through to March 2nd.  We are confident that Madison will be a great ambassador for the Saugeen Maitland Women's Hockey Association.
The Ontario Winter Games are held every second year, and includes Women's hockey in it's events.  There is an "Olympic-like" feel to the Games, with more than 3500 young athletes competing in more than 25 different sporting events.  For more information about the Ontario Winter Games, please visit their web-site  -  www.ontariowintergames.com
