PLAYER REGISTRATION
Although Saugeen Maitland Women’s Hockey Association (SMWHA) has it's own registration process, SMWHA adheres to all Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA), Lower Lakes Female Hockey League (LLFHL) and Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA) rules and regulations regarding player registration and eligibility.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
- Players must meet SMWHA eligibility requirements as mandated by the WOAA, OWHA and LLFHL.
- Players must participate in the SMWHA tryout process. Players not currently registered with Saugeen Maitlandmust submit a signed permission to skate form. Tryouts occur in April immediately following Provincials. When needed, additional tryouts may occur in August and/or September.
- Successful players in the SMWHA tryout process will receive a Player Acceptance Letter.
- Players must submit appropriate player releases from their hometown minor hockey association.
- Players and their parents/guardians must sign a code of conduct.
- Players must pay a registration fee as determined annually by the SMWHA Committee.
- Players must submit partial payments of the registration fee in accordance to policy.
- Players may participate in the SMWHA fundraising program to fund in part or whole the registration fee.
