The Saugeen Maitland Midget Lightning AA’s

The Lightning went 3-0 in round robin play

In the semi-final, with Bluewater winning 1-0, 12 seconds left and the Lightning goalie pulled, 3rd-year veteran, Laken Smith was able to tuck in the game tying goal with 4 ticks left on the clock to send the game into O.T.
The following 4 periods of overtime saw both teams with numerous scoring chances but both goaltenders kept the nets empty. It was Bluewater’s Erinn Noseworthy who scored the game winner with 4 seconds left in the 4th overtime period to advance the Hawks to the Finals.
Scoring during the Silver Stick were Marcie Landman (3), Brooklyn Irwin (3), Hannah Davidson (2), Laura Irwin (2), Laken Smith, Gina Murray, Sara Gossell, Georgia Ottewell.
