Maitland Lightning Midget AA are up two games to none on the Stratford Aces in
their best of five Provincial Qualifying series after picking up 3-0 and 3-1
wins.
Port Elgin’s Kelly Gribbons was in on 5 out of the 6 Saugeen goals with a hat trick and 2 assists. The other goal scorers were Kailyn Soers, Dollee Meigs and Kelly Garrow. Assists were awarded to Sara Gossell (3), Soers (2), Stacie Vink (2), Garrow, Lindsay Dales and Brittany Hymers.
The Lightning will play game 3 against Stratford on Tuesday night in Teeswater and will also begin the second round of their Lower Lakes playoff series versus the London Devillettes on Thursday.
