Lightning go to London for our First Game
The Pee Wee Lightning traveled into London for the Season opener against the Devilettes.
The Devilettes proved to be a very tough match for the Lightning and came away with a 6-0 win. Although the scoreboard showed a large win, the Coaching Staff are very encouraged with what they saw, especially in the third period where the girls are taking what they learn in practice and using it in the game.
After the first, the score was 2-0 for London and our Goaltender made some excellent saves to keep the girls in the game and taking them into the second where the Devilettes controlled the play and scored 3 goals. With the flood between the periods, it gave the Coaches a chance to share with the Girls what they needed to focus on in the third and the Girls took the period with a great attitude and played an aggressive team game in the third, showing signs of good things to come.
The Girls will practice hard this week and look forward to our games next weekend!!!
