Exciting News for BAA Girls Team !!
We are very excited to announce that Anna Blando has joined the Saugeen Maitland Lightning BAA coaching staff for the 2012-2013 season.
Anna comes to us with playing experience from teams in Markham and Thunder Bay. A graduate of LakeHead University Anna holds a Honour Bachelor of Kinesiology , Bachelor of Education,and a Masters of Science in Kinesiology. She also holds numerous coaching and trainer certificates with Hockey Canada. She has 10 years of coaching and training at every level from Atom age to Junior A. She has served as Head Instructor at hockey camps as well as assisting local and regional hockey schools in Northern Ontario. This past winter Anna was the assistant coach and trainer of the winning streak Charters Thunder Bay Queens Bantam AA team. Anna was selected to assistant coach of the team Agosta at the 2012 Ontario Winter Games. In addition, Anna has been involved the past 5 summers as the Head coach of the U-14 Thunder Bay Northern Hawks girls team. Recently Anna was selected as Asst Coach of the 1997 East Coast selects hockey team for the 2012 spring/summer tournament series and European tour. Anna's commitment and enthusiasm, along with her experience is something we are welcoming!!! If and when you see Anna at the rink welcome her to the organization.
