The BAA girls have fought hard to bring them through two series in the lower lakes playoffs.
First they met Burlington who have been a tough team to beat all year, and probly the last team they wanted to see in the first round

The Barracudas had 2 ties and a win against our BAA girls. Knowing this at the start of the series the girls came out flying and didn't let Burlington even get a sniff of success. The BAA girls made quick work of Burlington and eliminated them in 2 straight games. Next they were to meet a tough and strong Mississauga club who have played them hard all season. The back and forth battles through out the year with this club that never quit sure put the girls on their toes. Going into the series they knew that if they didn't come to play they could be eliminated themselves. Well game one saw a back and forth game and a very hungry Mississauga club. The BAA girls found themselves down 3-2 with seconds left on the clock. Knowing they needed at least a tie on home ice they pulled off a tie with scoring with 4 seconds left on the clock. After game one the girls realized that if they didn't come out as a full team to all games they would find themselves in a hole they might not get out of. Game two was in Mississauga and what a game it was!!  A true complete team effort from all 17 players was truly the answer as the girls pulled off a 3-0 win,and only allowed limited scoring opportunities for Mississauga to get back into the game. The girls now realized that they were only a tie or a win away from going to the division final with a strong Oakville club. Game three saw back and forth action from both teams and Saugeen got that one goal on a end to end rush that was the difference. Final score Saugeen 1 and Mississauga 0  Over all the series with Mississauga was a great series and both teams competed very hard as they did all year. Both series seen two very classy coaching staffs and players on and off the ice. Now the big test is to come as we meet a very strong team from Oakville who has been sitting at the top of the standings all year, and are one of the top teams in the province. Lets go and get them girls ! I KNOW YOU HAVE IT IN YOU !!
