A Pair of WINS to end the Regular Season!
What a great job the SML Bantam A did this past weekend celebrating two hard earned wins on home ice vs. league rivals Bluewater & Stratford - Way to go girls!

Recap of the games :

Saturday on home ice in Teeswater saw the Lightning host the Hawks in mid afternoon game play.
Scoring with just over 1 minute of play in the game was Sasha Morano on a pass from teammate Michaela Rodger.

Then less than 2 minutes later Gabby McNabb would dump one in the back of the Hawks net on an assist from Morano (2nd assist Keltie Tabot).

The Bolts would score the final goal of the game in the first 5 minutes of play in the second when McNabb shot one in the net - unassisted.
Julia Beaven would play a solid game between the pipes earning her another Shut Out!!!

Sunday would see the Bolts host the Aces in Howick ~ and their game play once again definitely did not disappoint.

In a game that would see the girls add 5 goals to their side of the scoreboard - it was definitely due to the effort of all the teammates who worked hard - passed the puck - shot ... & scored!

The Bolts would find the back of the Aces net twice in the first period of play.  Goal #1 would be the first of 3 for Alyssa Andrews (first team HATTRICK) on an assist from Lexi Smith.  Andrews second goal would find the back of the net on a clean pass from Sasha Morano.

Then to start off the third Andrews would fulfill her HATTRICK when Brontae Frook had a beauty pass back to her (second assist Morano).  Two more goals from the bolts would finish off the team scoring in the third - Keltie Talbot would fire one in on a quick pass from Smith & then Morano on a far away hunch would slide one into the Aces empty net when she scooped up the puck from Shipp.

Honourable mentions for fantastic play by all girls has to be noted - both defensively & offensively - FORWARDS: Sydney Pruden & Addison Fisher along with DEFENCE: Jessica GouthroMelissa Pennington helped to secure these two WINS!

Once again Julia Beaven would be on guard in her net & protect her domain only allowing the Aces to slip 2 by her in the third ending the game for the Bolts with a 5-2 victory.

Great way to end the regular season ladies ... now to focus on your 1st round of playoffs vs Windsor!!!
