Unbelievable finish for SML
Saugeen came away from the weekend with 3 out of 4 points and 5 out of 6 points in the last three games. After scoring with 52 seconds left in Saturday's game against Cambridge to tie it up Saugeen one upped that on Sunday.

Saugeen travelled to Hamilton on Sunday with only 2 lines and having lost 1st game of the season to them 4 to 1. After battling all game Saugeen was down 1-0 after two periods. With the goalie pulled,Vic Krulicki stripped the Hamilton D and had a clear cut break away from the blue line in and went top shelf to tie the game up with 20 seconds left.

In an amazing finish  Saugeen won the draw at center ice. Sam Pruden passed to Jordyn Sholdice who carried the puck into the Hamilton and found Hailey Herman in front of the net. Hailey hammered it home. Saugeen used 9 seconds to score 2 goals in the last 20 seconds of the game to take the game 2-1. OMG!

Great game with a short bench to finish a great weekend.

Saugeen hosted Cambridge on Saturday saw Cambridge open the scoring in the second with 2 goals to take the lead. With a face off deep in the Cambridge end and 23 seconds to go , Hailey Herman won the draw straight back to Tori Terpstra who fired a rocket top shelf to cut the lead to 1.

Kendra Schultz tied the game up early in the third with her first of the year assisted by Hailey Herman. Cambridge scored with under 4 minutes to regain the lead. With the goalie out Kendra Schultz ripped a slap  shot off the cross bar and down to tie the game with 52 seconds to play and Hailey getting her 3rd assist. Star of the game going to Kendra.

Amanda Gans played excellent hockey all weekend keeping the Lightning in the game with big saves.

An Awesome effort girls by all the girls this weekend.
