Peewee A Team Qualifies for Provincials!
The Peewee A team clinched their berth for the OWHA Provincial Championships this past weekend.

The Peewee As faced off against the Stratford Aces in a three game series of the OWHA Provincial Playdowns. The Peewees lost the first game 1-0 and knew that it would be a challenge to pull off the required four points in the final two games. They found a way to do just that, winning the second game 1-0 at home to take the series to a third and final game. The girls opened the last game on the right note, scoring two quick goals and then held on for the 2-1 win. It was an exciting series to watch as both teams played hard and played well. There was lots of end to end action to keep the anxious fans on the edge of their seats! Congratulations to the coaching staff of Jamie Robinson, Jake Gratto, Richard Bowman, Jeff Bloemberg, trainers Tanya Neil and Lisa Chegahno for all of their hard work and guidance to help the girls achieve their goal of getting to Provincials. And congratulations to the players of the Peewee A team for digging deep, skating hard and working together to make it through to the Provincial Tournament. Next up is what promises to be another exciting series as the girls face off against the Waterloo Ravens in Round 3 of the LLFHL Playoffs.
