Sunday we played the Bluewater hawks. Girls came out with some jump in the skates. No slow moving holiday feet for these girls, they came out to win. First period was fast paced and ended with 0-0. Into the second period we are leading in shots 8-6. Ella Black feeds Kennedy Stauffer who puts it in the net. 1st goal is on the board. Not long after Ella black Intercepts Bluewater’s play, which leads to a turn over where Kennedy Stauffer slaps the puck in the net again.
Score is 2-0 after two periods of play. We started the third with 20 seconds left on the penalty kill, and killed it. Bluewater came out looking for chances in the third. Kennedy Caldwell not letting that puck anywhere near the back of her net. Saugeen ends 2018 on a winning note !!!!! 2-0 win. 2019 will bring great success for these girls.
