Roadrunners Dust Lightning
In the last regular season game of the year Saugeen came out flat and was totally outworked and outplayed in all areas by the Cambridge team. Saugeen fell 2-1 and ended up tied for 2nd in the standings but due to head to head against London will settle for 3rd.
In a game that Saugeen could move into 2nd with a tie or win Saugeen played the worst game of year. Cambridge scored two in the first and Saugeen did not score until the last minute of the game with the goal tender pulled to get within one. Cassidy Mason scored in a goal mouth scramble assisted by Tori Terpstra and Reagan Kaufman.
In the after game review Bill commented to the team that although we played brutal it is only one game and that we are proud of the effort we have gave this year and the fact that we tied for 2nd. Quite an accomplishment for a 1st year team put together at the last moment. We are confident going into playdowns and Silver Stick. First round oppenent looks to be Bluewater and in the regular season we had a tie, loss and win but that was early in the year.
