Lightning Strikes AGAIN!
Submitted by Adam Nolan. The PeeWee girls travelled to Mississauga on Dec 9 with one thing on their minds......WINNING!
In the first period, the Lightning came out flying, dominating the Mississauga team and putting in 2 goals in the period, both by Jennelle Smeltzer. The first at the 11:10 mark, and the second at the :10 second mark, both unassissted.
As the second period got underway, Smeltzer puts in her third for the natural hat trick at the 12:49 mark on a nice pass from Jamey Cunningham. With the pressure still on the Chiefs, the Lightning score their 4th of the game coming from Jaymee Nolan at the 9:52 mark to finish off the second up 4-0.
With another great effort in the third, Jamey Cunningham gets one more to finish off the game with a 5-0 win, assists from Alyssa Andrews and Kara Colhoun.
Great effort by all the girls, and an awesome SHUT OUT for Julia Beaven in net!
