True Meaning of Christmas
Submitted By dbushell on Tuesday, January 3, 2012
The Saugeen Maitland Peewee AA team know the true meaning of Christmas.  The girls decided not to have a gift exchange this year.  They wanted to put their money to something more meaningful.

A parent on the team had heard of a young family from Goderich that had lost their home and all their belongings in the Tornado.  So on Saturday December 17 the SML team gave a cheque for 500 dollars to the family.  The parents were so grateful and couldn't believe complete strangers would want to make their Christmas so special.

The father’s last message to the young girls was, to remember to be thankful for everything because it could be gone in minutes. The Peewee team walked away that day knowing it is, better to give than receive.
