Submitted By Howie Pruden on Thursday, February 23, 2017
Saugeen Maitland Lightning Intermediate A team won Gold in the Durham West tournament this past weekend. After a slow start to the first game losing 3-2 to North Durham Saugeen rolled off 4 straight wins to take Gold.

Saugeen beat Guelph in the Semis 2 - 0 and then faced North Durham again in the finals.
It was a different game this time around as Saugeen jumped out to a 4 -0 lead after 2 periods and finished the game with a 5-2 score. Saugeen has won 3 Golds and a Silver this season and looking forward to Provincials in March.
