2019/2020 Coaching Announcements - AA / A Teams

The Saugeen Maitland Lightning Women's Hockey Association is pleased to announce the following AA team coaching appointments for the 2019/2020 hockey season:

- Midget AA - Bill Lark 
- Bantam AA - Jason Brooks
- Peewee AA/A - Mike Brooks
- Atom A  - Shane Lester

**Further details regarding our coaches is included below.  Further coaching appointments will be shared on our website at a later date.


Bill Lark, Midget AA

  • 25+ years of coaching experience
  • SML Midget A Head Coach past 5 years
  • Past experience includes SML Coach of Midget AA, Bantam AA, Peewee AA, Peewee A
  • 10 Provincial Championships – OWHA & OMHA

Jason Brooks, Bantam AA

  • Head Coach of Listowel Cyclones Jr B (2013-present)
  • OHL experience includes coaching, managing, training, mentoring
  • Hockey Canada U17 coaching experience
  • University of Waterloo Varsity Hockey Team Assistant Coach
  • Played in OHL with London Knights and Ottawa 67’s

Mike Brooks, Peewee AA/A

  • SML Head Coach Atom A (2018-2019), Atom BB (2017-2018)
  • Assistant Coach of Listowel Cyclones (2017-2019), along with numerous positions over the years
  • Head Coach Huron Perth Lakers AAA – Minor Midget (2004-2005), Major Bantam (2005-2006)
  • Huron Perth Lakers AAA - Director of Hockey Operations (2012-2013) & Director of Coach and Player Development (2013-2014)
  • Coaching and Executive positions with Listowel Minor Hockey Association
