"In the last 3 games we beat 2nd, 3rd and 4th place teams, all shut outs."
Game 1: Saugeen was looking for a bit of pay back after losing the last game they lost to this Waterloo team. Saugeen came out strong and though they had many chances ended the first tied at 0. Saugeen out shot Waterloo 15-5 in the first period.
In the second Taylor MacDonald hit Hailey Herman on a long stretch pass up the middle sending Hailey in all alone. Hailey deked the goaltender and fired the puck low corner to give Saugeen the lead. Game MVP's went to Jessica Satosek for her strong 2 way play and excellent PK and Rebecca Ropp.
Game 2: Stratford came to Howick on a stormy Sunday with the game moved to Belmore arena due to power outages. With a chance to increase their lead on Guelph, Saugeen played a solid first with chances at both end but the the first ended at 0.
In the second Jessica Satosek dug out the puck in the corner and fed a pass to Victoria Krulicki behind the net. Victoria passed to Sam Pruden who came into the slot and went top shelf to give Saugeen the lead.
