PeeWee's continue season play on Sponsor day

Saugeen Maitland Lightning held their 2nd Annual Sponsor Appreciation Day on Saturday Nov 10 in Howick, and the PeeWee's started things off with a tight game against a talented Oakville Hornets team. Kudo's to the SML organization, and especially Sara Herman for running such a great event, and it was a real pleasure to see so many parents, grandparents and sponsors out to support!
Oakville opened up the scoring in the first, but the Lightning answered back just 13 seconds later with Jaymee Nolan putting the puck in the back of the Oakville net. Alyssa Andrews picked up the assist. Just 30 seconds later, Oakville answered back with their second of the game, and ended the period ahead by one. In the second period, the action was back and forth and fast and furious and at the 5 minute mark, Jaymee Nolan nets her second of the game and brings the Lightning back to even ground to start the 3rd. The 3rd period saw the Hornets score two more goals, ending the game 4-2, but a strong effort by the entire team, keeping pace with the Hornets every step of the way. Great game girls!
