Bantams unable to score in weekend matches
The SML Bantams played 2 decent games on the weekend, but couldn't score a goal in either one, and ended with a 1 - 0 loss and a 0 - 0 tie.
On Saturday, the team made the trek to Windsor to take on the Wildcats. The action was back and forth, and a much improved Windsor team managed to get the only goal of the game mid way through the 1st, and took it all the way to the final buzzer with a 1 - 0 loss for the Lightning.
Sunday had the Lightning in Sarnia for game 2 of their 2 game road trip, and niether team could find the mesh in what would end in a 0 - 0 tie. Strong goaltending by KC Chagnon, as well as excellent defence by the entire D team would hold the Sting scoreless, however the Lightning also struggled to find the net, and were also held scoreless.
Action continues this weekend at the Howick Community Centre, where the Lightning hope to take revenge on the Wildcats as they meet for the final time this season on Saturday at 1:30. Sunday sees the Lightning take on the Kitchener Lady Rangers for a 1:30 start. Come on out and support your Bantam Lightning!
