Saugeen Maitland Intermediate A Win Provincial GOLD
The Saugeen Maitland Lightning Intermediate A team won the Provincial Championship this weekend in Toronto defending their Title from last year. The first team to repeat a Provincial Championship in Saugeen history.
Saugeen beat St Catherines 1 to 0 in the finals after beating Cambridge 1 to 0 in the semis. Saugeen tied for first in the pool play and then beat Durham West 4 to 0 in the Quarters.
Saugeen allowed 2 goals in 6 games ending with 3 straight shut outs in the final 3 games. Great job to the Saugeen goaltenders Tabitha and Haileigh.
Taylor MacDonald scored the game winning goal in the finals with Jordyn Sholdice scoring a break away goal to win the semis.
