Double Header-Double Winner
On October 30, the Saugeen Maitland Peewee's faced off to a double header against the Windsor Wildcats.
Our first game saw the SML girls play hard and strong. in the first period we scored to make the game a 1-0 lead. In the second period, we scored 2 more times, taking a 3-0 lead over the Wildcats. As the Wildcats tried to step it up and claw their way back, we managed to score 2 more times in the 3rd period walking away with a 5-0 win. After a rest, the girls went back it. The Wildcats came out strong trying to heighten the game but SML got on the scoreboard with a 1-0 lead in the first period. During the second period, SML scored 2 more times, giving the Wildcats even more pressure and determination. The final period saw the SML score twice again taking a 5-0 win. We definetly got a full day's worth of hockey in and working as a team, many girls got to share the scoreboard, and both of our goalies recieving shut-outs. Great day girls.
