Winning weekend for Peewees
On Saturday Nov 6/10, the Lightning struck the Sailorettes.
The SML Peewees were in Goderich on Saturday. The first period was slow and took a while for our girls to warm up as the score remained 0-0. The second period washed in and saw the Lightning get on the score board with a 2-0 lead. With a quicker moving 3rd period, the Lightning ended up sinking the Sailorettes with a 3-0 win for the final score.
On Sunday November 7/10, our Lightning Girls hosted Bluewater in Howick. Once again, our girls needed the first period to warm up and saw a tied score of 0-0. The girls sprang into action in the second period and played together earning them a spot on the scoreboard of 1-0. The Bluewater girls gave us a battle but we over took the 3rd period with 5 more goals. With their team effort and spirit, we saw a final score of 6-0 against Bluewater.
