Submitted by Rob Duncan. The Saugeen Maitland Midget AA Lightning ended the regular season with three wins over the weekend to finish first in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League West Division. The weekend started with a double-header against the Windsor Wildcats on Saturday. The first game was a 6-2 decision with Dawn Pletsch and Cassidy Colhoun each scoring a pair of goals to pace the attack. Harley Westman and Courtney Surridge added singles and assists were awarded to Tori Terpstra (2), Ashlee Lawrence, Kailyn Soers, Jordyn Sholdice, KellyGribbons, Lexi Smith and Surridge.
After a short rest, the Bolts were back on the ice for a second win over the Wildcats, this time by a closer 2-1margin. Surridge opened the scoring depositing a nice back-hand into the top shelf after getting a feed from line-mate Smith. Pletsch then scored completing a low zone cycle from line-mates Lawrence and Bantam call-up Mel Nolan. The Wildcats could only manage to get one by goaltender Morgan Baker, a shot from the point through a maze of players in front of the net. Sunday the Lightning travelled to Brantford to play the Ice-Cats and

chances for both teams. With a little over a minute left, Terpstra
