Final exhibition game before Stoney Creek Showcase
The girls played two exhibition games this weekend. Saturday they faced off against Cambridge. They seemed to have difficulty staying out of the penalty box and keeping possession of the puck. The team from Cambridge came to win and skated their way to a 2-0 victory.
The girls came together Sunday and played hard and aggressively to once again beat Waterloo 2-0. Early in the first period, Nickel skated the puck in and passed to Lauren, who put it in the net. Before the first period ended, there was action in front of Waterloo’s net and Brooks saw her chance to skate in and backhand the puck into the net. The team managed to hold the 2-0 lead for the rest of the game. Great job everyone!
