The Saugeen Maitland Lightning
Midget AA finished their regular season play with a 1-0 win against the
Cambridge Roadrunners on Saturday.
Harley Westman scored the only goal of the game on a nice set up play by Kelly Gribbons. Stephanie Sluys picked up the shutout, marking the 21st time this season the dynamic goaltending duo of Sluys or Shea Tiley have recorded a shutout. The Lightning finish league play in first place with a record of 17 wins, 2 losses and 3 ties. Overall the Lightning are sitting at a record of 38-9-6.
The Lightning will travel to Sarnia next weekend to play in the International Silver Stick tournament.
